Hi, my dear friends, my name is Andy Popescu. We decided to hit the road in the SL because it’s been a while since we did a vlog with the SL. This is an SL AMG and last time a lot of you commented that this is not an SL AMG.
By the way, our guest today is Eduard. Hi, Eduard! and we will have a chat with him For starters, Eduard, I would like you to take the slip out so we can show it to everyone and prove that this is in fact an AMG. Actually, give me the registration book.Let’s just do that. So, for all the haters out there who said this is not an SL AMG, you can see for yourselves now what the people from the Romanian Auto Registry said here. Eduard, let’s tell the viewers how we met. You sent me a message a month or two ago. Yeah, about two months ago and then we just met one evening. Technically we were supposed to meet for 5 minutes but those 5 minutes turned into 2-3 hours and we kept in touch ever since. Ok, meaning this was before I made the vlog with Cristi Priza I texted you and we had a one hour long chat in the car. Tell the viewers about you. So, I am 17. I live in Bucharest, I live alone and I have been supporting myself ever since I came here. People will say I am arrogant now haha. And what amazed me at you is that you started reading a lot of business books ever since you were 13. Yes, I have been reading business books since age 13 There was a year when I would read a book per week and, yes, I still read because this is what helped me the most. If I hadn’t read so much, I wouldn’t be doing what I am doing today. And what are you doing today? Today I work with you actually, and I am also part of the Goa network sales team, where we grow start-ups that we create. That’s really cool. So, if someone has a business idea and doesn’t have the money, what can they do? Well, you don’t need money to create a businss, because if you have a good idea you can attract investors. They can invest in your idea and you will, practically, not need any money. What you need is a good idea and a well made plan. Correct. So, once again, tell us what you do at Goa in a few words. We grow start-ups Ok , so you grow start-ups. And how do you connect those with money with those with ideas? Through our network. Through your network. Yes, because everyone on the team has their own network, with different people. Ok and does only one person invest in the business or are there more people? There are 4 shareholders. 4 shareholders I understand Ok, got it. And they invest in businesses, yes? Yes Ok, let’s leave a link in the description for those who have ideas but no money. What about people who have money but no ideas? Yes they can invest. So, for instance, I would like to invest in a business through you guys to invest in a business managed by someone else so I would simply make money by giving you money basically. Obviously, yes. This is an ingenious idea. By the way, what does GOA stand for? Goa is a term, more like a country… I heard of the American country in Asia. Yes, exactly. And… honestly, I don’t know why we picked that name but I do know that that’s where a lot of refugees now why we picked that name migrated from the old America… I can’t remember their names now. But you know what I mean. They left for that country, you know? I don’t know why they chose this name because I joined them maybe 3-4 months ago and Goa has been around for quite a few years now. Yeah. Ok, so this is a really good idea, sounds really nice to me, especially since I have a lot of people who keep writing to me that they have a good idea but no money. In the books that you read on business I saw that many people suggest choosing a mentor. That’s what they say in those books. I didn’t even know that, because I didn’t read about business. I simply learned through trial and error. Tell me a bit about this please. What do they say about it in those books? About mentors? Yeah, I mean, do you have to pick a mentor? Or what’s the idea? I saw that idea repeating a lot. I didn’t read much, but you have and can talk about this. Yeah, basically, it’s highly recommended to find a mentor. Why? Because that person has already been through what you are about to go through as a business person/entrepreneur because it’s impossible not to fail, it’s impossible not to lose money, not to be stressed, all of these are normal And if you have a mentor, he can help you by sharing his experience because he’s already walked the road you want to walk and you as a person grow much faster than if you had read 1000 books or taken any course because he is a live experience. So, he can tell you his opinion straight-up, what you should be doing, and give you practical pieces of advice and this is why all business books recommend finding mentors and to find the right one. If you want to create an online business, you can ask for mentorship from someone who is not involved in online business, you can learn from them but you won’t find anything too practical because you are doing something different from him. I really loved that you, even though you are 17 years old, I think you have a very mature mindset and you have the ability to learn from other people’s mistakes without having to go through them yourself. I mean, for instance, if someone told me at 17 “hey, don’t speed up” or something like that, I don’t know if I would have been willing to learn from them until I had gone through these stages myself. That fact that you understand them and agree with them makes me think you have a very mature mindset. Ok, what else did you learn from those business books? That failure isn’t something bad. It’s actually good because you learn a lot more from a failure than from a success. This is just my perspective at least. Why?Because when you bang your head to the wall it hurts. And you won’t do it again next time. Exactly. Ok, other than that? Perseverence. Perseverence, great. This is something I talked about many times, that perseverence is more important than intelligence.I don’t consider myself an intelligent guy, but I do consider myself a perseverent person. Perseverence makes the difference, not intelligence. In my case there was also a fair share of luck,I can’t deny that. Luck is subjective I believe we make our own luck for the most part. Correct. What other ideas come to your mind? You have to have a thirst for knowledge. Knowleadge is power. Exactly, because that is what makes the difference between someone who has a lot of money and someone who doesn’t. That person who doesn’t have money can actually achieve a higher level than the other person at some point because, if they have a thirst for knowledge, they are ambitious and persevering, they will catch up by having better information than the person who already reached that point, Correct.Ok, other ideas that come to your mind. Save up 40% of all your earnings. So, you can spend 60% is what you’re saying, right? Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. To give you an idea, I am saving about 90% of what I am earning, and I am not exaggerating. That’s how I got used to doing things. I got used to not spending a lot of money and I have a lifestyle… I am not saying I am doing things right, but that’s just how I do things, that’s how I am wired. I might die tomorrow and that means I could be screwing myself over because. I could have enjoyed that money more. Not saying I couldn’t It’s a valid point. But that’s just how I am.This is how I choose to live my life, and I always wanted to highlight that it’s important to live your life the way you want to, not the way other people tell you that you should. Why? Because, you know why, right? Because the most frequent regrets we have on our death beds are because we lived our lives the way other people wanted me to, not the way I wanted to live it. Exactly. That’s very sad. And, it’s possible, maybe, just maybe, that there is no afterlife It could be that, just how there have been 14 billion years from the Big Bang and until you were born, the void could be just as wide from when you die and until the Universe ends. Yeah, it’s very important to live your life the way you want to live it. Because people put too much emphasis on what other people think about them. For instance, when I started doing this, very few supported me, very few trusted me, Yeah and it’s hard when everyone is discouraging you. People discouraged me too when I started youtube-ing. “What the hell are you doing, man? You started youtube-ing?Look at this guy … “ you know, and it hurt quite a lot, those people were actually close friends of mine, who told me these things. It hurt but it didn’t make me quit. That’s the point actually. To persevere. Average people, who have an average mentality, would probably have said “Oh, I am not going to do this anymore. Why would I do this anymore? Everyone is laughing at me. Why make a fool of myself?”Stuff like this, you know? They have this mentality, I call it a poor person mentality. Honestly. Yeah. Because that’s the truth. That’s how poor people think And, unfortunately, the mentality of many Romanians, unfortunately, is that of a poor person, because they put way more emphasis on what other people have, they care more about what other people say and don’t take any risks. This is the saddest part from my point of view, because… Yeah, I mean, they say “man, it’s hard to start a business, I just won’t do it.” And you end up not starting one ever. Yeah, I mean, come on man, why not try? Such is life, sometimes you fail. Better to say “I regret doing this” than regretting not having done it. I know, but it’s harder when for instance, some people have a sum of money, let’s say 20-30 thousand euros and this is all their money and can’t make any other and then it’s really hard to risk all your money.
That is true, but that’s true only when you have a family. My opinion. Because if you’re young, I don’t see why this would be such an issue. And it’s very important to get over it. If you let yourself be discouraged by every one of those things, you will end up living their life. Yeah, exactly. You know? That’s why I don’t like telling people “do this” or “do that”. They shouldn’t try to live my life. tell them how I see things and if they want, they can do it this way, if not, no. It annoys me when someone comes and says “you’re not doing it right. You should be doing it this way … Let me show you how it’s done… “ Yeah. Be very careful who you take advice from. This is a great piece of advice. Be very careful. You do not want to take advice from the wrong people. If you want to be a millionaire, then take advice from people who reached that level because if you go to, I don’t know, your cousin or your mom or your grandmother to ask for advice about money, hey will tell you things comparative to what they have gone through. Yeah, they tell you what they think, what they know. I mean, which is usually the complete opposite, because, what I have noticed very often at people around me is that they think that you can’t make a lot of money or that it’s just impossible you have to smack someone in the head to make money. Pre-conceived ideas, conventional wisdom. Exactly, exactly, exactly. They say “oh the guys with money they either stole or are doing deals with the state” or things like these, I mean, man, think for a little bit. Especially that, after a certain age, it’s very hard to change To change how you think. Yeah it’s very hard. It’s easier to look for a needle in a stack of hay. True, but it also depends on how much willpower you have. For instance, I have a very strong will and I can always, even when I’ll be 50, I’ll be able to change my mentality, because I’m open for new things, because I have always been bothered by the generation gap. This bothered me a lot. What I think is really sad is how some people view success. Because success is also very subjective. Yeah, success is different for every person. Yeah, some people say “success means having a good sallary, 3000-4000 Lei and I’m happy. I can work there for the rest of my life and I’m pleased. You know? Yeah. Why do I think you will have an awesome future? You know how I used to define success when I was 17, when I was your age? Being able to work in an office with air conditioning, and to be able to eat at MacDonald’s every day In all honesty. See? I mean, you are much more open minded. You can grow way more than what I have.Every generation was better than the previous one. Generations grow and they are better and better. You know why? Because the newer generations have access to the information and the experience of their predecessors. I didn’t have someone to give me this information. In my time, in the 80’s when I was born, there was no such thing as access to information. The information that gave me the impulse were actually the American movies that made me want this lifestyle. The first movie I saw was “Trading Places” with Eddie Murphy and it was about stock exchange and it inculcated this thing a little bit. I mean, these are things from your childhood, that motivate you and give you an impulse “man, I want to do this thing.” I was watching movies like “Wolf of Wall Street” and it was also about stock exchanges and stuff like that, but the new one, not the one from the 90’s.
Correct. But how old were you when you did that? You were what, I don’t know, 14, 13, how old were you? Yeah, something like that. and I remember saving money. I saved up for about 4-5 months and invested all that money in FOREX. Seriously? Yeah, seriously. The first time I invested in anything, it was in FOREX, you know? And, I read a ton of books on techniques, strategies, you know, with the bollinger bands, with mobile and potential averages of 10 and 20 pifs how they intersect and how they increase in order to find out a few seconds before, you know what I’m talking about. You know? I invested the money I had saved up for 4-5 months. I invested them. It went well for about a month or two. I had doubled, trippled my money. And what did I think then? When I saw I had a lot of money, I said to myself “Why settle for small amounts? I can make way more.” I had an initial plan to make 1% per day. When I started to want more and more, that’s when I lost everything. Yeah, basically you got greedy.
Yeap. Exactly I try not to promote anything in my vlogs because if you sell something, people will start saying ‘Oh, this guy is vlogging to sell stuff” I want to give people information that that doesn’t bring me any advantage. And one of these pieces of information, I am considering giving out in my next vlog, is to show them how to get on a website, a famous one. It’s not mine,I have no connection with them. I don’t have any affiliate links they can say “oh, that’s why he’s doing it…”. See my point? So, yeah, it’s a famous site. it’s been around for God knows how many years. I have no connection with that site and on that site you can say “well, what should I invest in? Well, it’s very simple. Just copy the investments of other successful people. And it shows you what they invested in, their performance in the last years for each person. You don’t have to know how to trade stocks. You copy other people and other people can copy you. But how did I influence you, if at all, over the last years? How did I influence you? I didn’t even know you until two weeks ago. The thing is it’s not just me, you influence a lot of people because you are an influencer.
How? This is actually funny. I had this in the vlog with Cristi Priza. “Influencer! Influencer!.” Wait a second, I didn’t want to be an influencer.Ok, tell me how I influenced you. Well, as far as I’m concerned, you influenced me because, first of all, you are a live example that it can be done. you know? Because you got to where you wanted to get and you lead the life that you want. you do what you like to do. At 37 years of age, you could afford to say “bye” to business and do what you like i.e. Youtube. Which is something. Yeah, I mean, my businesses are still rolling because other people are managing them. That’s the point. I mean, basically, it’s a scale-up, your business. You are not running them really. With or without you, they will still function. Yeah, passive income. Exactly. and, technically, that should be everyone’s goal. To have as many passive income sources as possible because there’s no point in making a lot of money if you have to work your ass off constantly. My opinion Because, ok, it might work one, two or three years but at some point, you won’t be able to handle it. I saw this trap. A lot of people that make a lot of money, but they are very stressed. I am super chill, and I love this. I love that I am chill. I love that I am not stressed. I love that was able to reach a level where I am not affected by the hate. In the beginning, the hate affected me a lot. Whenever someone would say “dude, what the hell are you doing?’ and I would get really hurt by that, you know? Now, I reached a level where I literally don’t care anymore. Write us your opinion in a comment below. We will read them. I will mark all the comments with a heart sign. Eduard will comment as well and I will pin it and we are waiting for your opinions on what we talked here. Finally, tell me how you feel about the car. Very beautiful. You want me to tell you what I liked and what I didn’t like? Exactly. Ok. Power. Clearly, this is a powerful car and that it can really pull its weight, you know?. What I would like to see in it… The interior, for instance this wheel, it’s present on older generations of Mercedes, you know? For instance, the newer models have a curvier model. Yes But, otherwise, the car is brilliant. Everyone is looking at you as you drive. You’re like a pimp. I also like that the seats are inflatable Yeah, that too. I noticed that. I don’t like that this is a bit old. I mean, it looks like a C Class on the inside. And this watch, too. Instead of having everything digital, to customize it however you want. The buttons too. It’s the same as with the Teslas.Tesla took the design from Mercedes, you know? Elon Musk went to Mercedes and said “hey, can you sponsor me? ‘cause it’s getting a bit tricky.” Anyway, I like the stick. I don’t like this part. They look pretty old. Otherwise the car looks awesome on the outside. Yeah, it’s brilliant and the lights are adaptive and awesome. Ok. Cool. That’s it for today. Bye Bye!
